Valentines Day

Valentines Day has never really been my favorite (unless, of course it would mean eating endless amounts of reverse calorie chocolate that would simultaneously burn fat and make my skin glow without making me feel guilty or pukey).

But, nerd humor + anything = I like it. So, I made this Valentines Day card/graphic inspired by my heart-nerdy brother (he’s a cardiologist) and dedicated to my math-nerdy husband, and to all of you!  Thank you for reading and providing your generous comments and support!

Happy Valentines Day Week from the nerd in me!

  1. You seem to have left out the semilunar and tricuspid pulmonary valves.

(Did I mention that I'm a former med. student? Not "med. med", but former student nurse in training. In short, I ate, slept, and breathed Anatomy & Physiology, Medical Terminology, Medical Law and Ethics, Medical Office Procedures Administrative and so on and so forth.) And your brother's a cardiologist? Wow. You guys are all so freaking smart in your family.

I can't tell you how happy I am for you, Amy. it's totally YOUR season now and all of the evil "suck" lately will continue doing the death spiral around life's drain. It's time that you claim all of the love, joy, happiness, and excellence that (God and) the universe have encompassed you with! SO happy for you. Happy (early) Valentines Day to you and "Mr. Amy" also. :0)

    • Hahaa! I think I like that…”Mr. Amy”. I will have to tell him that 😀

I do remember that you are a former med student. And, if I remember correctly, you had a really kick butt GPA, too! I didn’t even realized I left out the semilunar and tricuspid pulmonary valves. Who’s really the smart one? (hint: I think it’s you 😉

Your comments and support are such a bright spot in my life! I’m pretty sure I’ve told you that before, but I’m not sure I can possibly tell you enough!!

      Thank you, Brigitta!! ❤

      • Hey, that bright spot goes both ways! :0) (And yeah, I had a 3.9 GPA back then. I’ve never been able to repeat that! Last semester I made the Dean’s List- but it’s taken YEARS to rebuild it after trashing it 3 years ago when I committed academic suicide, dropping 3 of my 5 classes. I’m just now recovering; it’s been a lot of hard work, so the payoff was especially sweet this time.)

I hope you and the hubster have a really great life together. I still can’t believe you’re married! (AND pregnant!) I highly recommend doing the Lamaze classes thing. ;0) In my city, Lamaze classes are free at the local hospital; it’s worth checking out in your area. (They helped me tremendously.) K- I’m off to do a gazillion (business) things on my day off. Have a great day, Amy! xo

  2. And happy Valentine’s Day to my gorgeous daughter! 🙂
It was so nice of “monochrome….” to say that our family is so smart. You might want to clue her in on the fact your mother cannot remember anything she reads!!

    • Hahaaa! I think it’s only because you read SO much. Unless you read something more than once, how would anyone be able to remember all of that!

I was thinking I should probably clue Monochrome in on my math scores 😀

    • Well, Hook, I would totally say that your comment just made my day, but I think that would be a lie. It just made my MONTH…possibly the next 2. Thank you. That means a LOT to me. Especially coming from someone whose writing I admire as much as yours 🙂
